This album takes the Tenth of May sound to a new place. The music has taken one step further away from the rock sound of earlier albums. This could possibly be placed under the shoegaze genre. Despite the spacey, droning aspects of many of these songs, there underlies the same pop songwriting style from which all Tenth of May music seems to derive. The song structures have been stripped down to the basic necessities of their construction; some left bare while others are utterly smothered with harmonizing/dissonant sounds/noise and/or percussive instruments.
